10/12/09 Come join me for my 110 mile run at Edgewater Park for the Ten More Mile Challenge Charity Run. Start time 5:30 a.m. Saturday November 7th and ending approximately Sunday November 8th 11:00 a.m. Come join in at any hour. Link is at the top of this page.

10/07/09 I ran 111 laps at Edgewater park the same day the North Coast 24 hour endurance race was held on Oct. 3rd. I started at 6:30 a.m. and finished at 10:45 a.m. the next day. 27 hours and 45 minutes. I ran counter clockwise on the loop path with a Burning River 200 bib on my back. The bib was given to me by the RD (Joe Jurczyk) of the Burning River 100. He gave it to me because I was to run the Burning River 100 race and then turn around and run it again for another 100. I coined it Burning Twice. I only made it 108 miles. I plan on this run again next year with better success.
An hour or so before sunset I turned and ran in the same direction with the North Coast 24 runners. I didn’t want everyone’s head lamp gleaming towards me all night. It was so neat to see all the awesome ultra runners out there. I really wish I knew some of their secrets to run strong the entire time. I’m referring to the top runners. They looked the same at the end as when they started! This is part of the Ten More Mile Challenge for charity. We know what charity I'm choosing. Akron Children's Hospital. 09/13/09 I finished 90 miles starting Friday 9/11/9 @ 5:45 p.m. and finishing Saturday 8:30 p.m. at Edgewater Park. This is part of the Ten More Mile Challenge for charity. We know what charity I'm choosing. Akron Children's Hospital. "Making a difference in the Life of a Child".

08/02/09 After crossing the finish line in 27 hrs. and 39 mins. and turning around on the BR100 course I bailed at 108 miles. I thought about all the mud at Perkins trail that tore me apart last night and said no way I can do that again. Pain was too great to continue today. Thanks all for your support and pledges!
